Happy Mother’s Day to all Hockey Moms!
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we wanted to take a minute to recognize the most under-rated position in hockey–Hockey Moms!
Thank you to all the special women who have earned the title Hockey Mom. You are a very special breed. You are vital to our game. Thank you for all you do, and Happy Mother’s Day.
Hockey Mom Blogs
We wanted to highlight a couple of Hockey Moms who share their stories and provide advice, encouragement, an occasional recipe, and a healthy dose of humor.
Emily Erson and Sharon Enck write about the crazy inner-workings of youth and minor hockey. For Mothers Day, we wanted to feature some hockey moms who share their experience. Emily and Sharon are two of the best!
On the Job Mom
Emily’s blog is On the Job Mom. She is a full-time coffee-charged hockey mom, writer, blogger, and dog-lover. She moonlights, during the day, teaching middle school English. Sarcasm and a great heart are at the core of everything Emily does for On the Job Mom. You will get some great insights and a laugh or two. Some of our favorites are the Hockey Puck Cookie Recipe, Hockey Rules for Hockey Moms, and A Letter from the Coach’s Wife.
Sharon writes on Puck Gal. She is a freelance writer when she is not rushing from Rink-to-Rink, collecting humorous stories. Not only is she a Hockey Mom, she is a Goalie Mom! In addition to her own work on Puck Gal, she hosts Hockey Mom Book of the Month Club, Movie of the Month Club, and Movie Camp. She also has links to some of her other work. Some of our Puck Gal favorites include Goalie Moms and Superstitions, Sh*t Goalie Moms Never Say, and 8 Reasons to Love a New Hockey Season.
We love their blogs, and read them on a regular basis. We think you may too. Check them out, have a laugh, try a new recipe or book, and see how many times you are nodding in agreement with them!
